Little Orcheton Farm

Little Orcheton Farm is located in the heart of the South Hams in Devon, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, with it's rolling hills, wooded river valleys, sandy beaches and spectacular coastline.

Location

We are a working sheep farm, situated on the estuary of the river Erme in a secluded un spoilt valley, full of wildlife and with outstanding views. From the entrance to the farm you can see Dartmoor and overlook the river.

Situated two miles from the mouth of the Erme with it's lovely sandy beaches of Wonwell and Mothecombe. Within easy reach of Bigbury-on-sea, Salcombe, Dartmouth, Plymouth and the Dartmoor National Park.

We are ideally situated to enjoy a relaxed holiday, with opportunities to enjoy walking, painting, bird-watching on the secluded private, Flete estate or visiting the many picturesque villages, National Trust properties, the National Marine Aquarium and only one-and-a-half hours drive to the Eden Project.

We are near to the popular marriage venues of Kitley House, Burgh Island and Buckland-Tout-Saints

We are located approximately eight miles by car from the main A38 exter to Plymouth road, near to the train stations at Plymouth and Totnes, and airports at Plymouth and Exeter. Transportation from the various terminals can be arranged.

Accommodation

The accommodation offers a Dinning room, family room, one double, a twin-bedded room and a single room, with en-suite facility, tastefully decorated in traditional farmhouse style.

Eating out

Occasional evening meals can be provided at Little Orcheton by prior arrangement. numerous restaurants and inns are within easy reach, serving an ideal range of cuisine from traditional English to Italian, Indian and Chinese. Our farmhouse breakfast will satisfy those with a hearty appetite, or we cater for those requiring a lighter start to the day.
